It's been a trying week for the Pine Ridge football team. On Tuesday, the Panthers lost their head coach when Thomas Balkcom resigned after a 0-3 start. On Friday, Pine Ridge couldn't muster enough emotion to overcome arch-rival Deltona, losing 20-0 in the "Battle of the Boulevard" and the District 4-5A opener for both teams.
