Discovery's Final Flight

On Tuesday, April 17, 2012, space shuttle Discovery, atop a 747 carrier jet, departed the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral Discovery on its way to become a permanent display at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington. Local residents were treated to a low flyover as Discovery said goodbye.
