Florida Art Collection Donation

  • These images provided by Hyatt and Cici Brown show a few of the paintings they will be donating to the Museum of Arts and Sciences in Daytona Beach. Within a few years, they hope anyone will be able to see these –– and the rest of their collection that numbers more than 2,600 oil and watercolor paintings –– in a new building fronting Nova Road just north of the Museum of Arts & Sciences.

DeLand Sculpture Walk

  • The DeLand Sculpture Walk features life-size artwork by 12 artists from across Central Florida and was celebrated in a public reception Friday evening.
    The inaugural outdoor community art program is a public-private partnership organized by the Museum of Florida Art and supported by the city of DeLand. Almost a year in the making, the $25,000 project is also owed in part to private sponsorship.
    Artists are lending their work for the yearlong program and organizers hope this is just the beginning of an annual project featuring new art.
