Astor Bridge

On Monday, Florida Department of Transportation contractors began delivering steel decking materials to the base of the drawbridge, called a bascule bridge, on the Lake County side. For the next four months, construction workers will replace the overpass piece by piece in a project that will cost just shy of $800,000.
